Australian modular kitchens often use repeatable width increments, but there is no single dimension that fits every supplier, room or appliance. Use common widths to build the first layout, then verify the actual product and project.
WHAT “STANDARD” MEANS
Repeatable modules, not universal dimensions.
Standard usually describes a supplier's set of repeatable cabinet sizes. Widths can align across base, drawer and wall units, but cabinet height, depth, door thickness, finished panel size and internal space can vary. Always use the current product information for the range being ordered.
Common width increments
Widths such as 450 mm, 600 mm and 900 mm are common planning increments in modular ranges. The current MOD Packs catalogue includes examples across these widths, but not every cabinet type is offered in every width.
Browse current shop categories rather than assuming a size exists because it is common elsewhere.
Dimensions beyond width
Width is only one part of a cabinet. Check the listed cabinet height and depth, how doors and panels affect the finished size, and how the benchtop or kickboard relates to the cabinet system.

Check usable drawer space as well as external width, and allow fronts and handles to open clear of adjacent walls.
Wall cabinets

Coordinate cabinet width with the selected sink bowl, benchtop, waste and plumbing access.
Tall cabinets
Check ceiling, bulkhead and door clearance as well as width; tall units need reliable vertical measurements.

Do not make the modules equal the wall exactly.
Room allowances
Walls can be out of square and corners may not be a perfect 90 degrees. Door fronts and drawers also need space to move. A plan normally needs appropriate fillers, end panels and installation tolerances rather than using every millimetre of the measured wall.

A “600 mm appliance” label does not replace the installation drawing. Use the exact model's overall dimensions and required opening, ventilation and connection details. Check handle and door projection in use.
